New monthly target: R85,100 for day guards

The NPC’s published target is now the SCP Security day-guard invoice: R74,000 plus VAT of R11,100, totalling R85,100 a month.

That cover turns dump trucks away and stops fires as they start. No organiser salaries. Cancel any time.

Trial funding ran out — the cover stopped

The three-month community-funded security trial ended when the money ran out. We already know the solution works. Before it can resume, the monthly cover has to be raised again.

Night Guard trial started — and it worked

With support from local companies and individual sponsors, the community ran a day-shift security trial with Night Guard Security through to 26 February 2026.

Dump trucks were turned away. Tactical units answered community reports and stopped burning as it was reported. Residents across the surrounding neighbourhoods breathed clean air again — not as a hope, but as a lived reality.
